Land Rover to launch Evoque in India
Range Rover, a unit of the Tata group, is planning to launch its ‘Range Rover Evoque’ in the Indian market.
The company has updated its India website with all the details of Range Rover Evoque indicating an upcoming launch of the vehicle in the country, where the demand for luxury cars has been rising steadily. The car will be available in two models, the Range Rover Evoque and Range Rover Evoque Coupe in the country.
Range Rover Evoque, which was declared Scottish car of the year 2011 in Glasgow, offer impressive appearance as well as power. The customers can choose between a 2.0 litre Si4 petrol engine and a 2.2 litre SD4 turbo diesel engine for the model. The diesel engine produces a maximum power of 190HP and a torque of 420Nm while the petrol engine is capable of generating a peak power of 240HP and a torque of 340Nm.
Initially the company is planning to sell directly imported cars in the country but also plans to offer an assembled version of Range Rover Evoque by 2013. In order to stay ahead on the technological front, the car will come with a host of smart technologies including hands free Bluetooth, a 380W Meridian Sound System and an optional Rear Seat Entertainment System.
The company has published all of specification of the model on the website. The luxury car will be available in three different models Pure, Prestige and Dynamic. The company has said that the model will be launched in November in India.
The diesel version is priced Rs. 50 Lakh and the petrol variant will cost around Rs. 63 Lakh.
