LA Galaxy don''t want Beckham

Football star David BeckhamLondon, Mar. 8 : England winger David Beckham will not return to L A Galaxy despite having struck a deal with them and A C Milan.

News of The World quoted sources close to Galaxy boss Bruce Arena as saying that he does not want the Beckham bandwagon to disrupt the club.

The England star agreed to a "time-share" deal which would see him stay with Milan until the end of the Italian season, then return to America to complete the MLS season, which ends in November.

He would then be free to return to Serie A and finish the 2009/10 campaign with the Italian giants.

But a close friend of Arena's said: "Bruce would feel uncomfortable about disrupting the Galaxy season. David has helped raise the profile of football in America but Galaxy has not been successful with him in the side.

"If there was a turnaround in fortunes without Beckham in the side, there is no guarantee Bruce would want to make major changes. It's a case of the MLS needing Beckham more than the Galaxy needing him. It's Bruce's job to make the Galaxy a success, not to find a home for Beckham," the source said.

But Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti insists Beckham is as good as World Player of the Year Kaka. (ANI)
