Kirloskar Pneumatic bags order worth Rs 80 crore from Cochin Shipyard

Pune-based Kirloskar Pneumatic Company Limited, a part of the Kirloskar group, has bagged an order worth Rs 80 crore from Cochin Shipyard Limited for supply of Air Conditioning Plant for a prestigious ship. With this contract, the total order book for ACR & process gas division of company stands at Rs 273 crore.

This order is for design, supply, supervision of installation and commission of 7 plants consisting of water chillers of 2400 KW capacity, sea water pumps, chilled water pumps, electrical panels, controls etc. These plants will be manufactured and tested at Saswad plant in Pune before they are shipped out. The supplies will be completed by March 2009.

In addition to Rs 273 crore, both transmission products and compression systems also have large pending orders and hence the total order pipeline for the company has crossed Rs 500 crore.

Recently, Kirloskar Pneumatic reported a 7.01% growth in net profit to Rs 20.01 crore for the quarter to March 2008 as compared with Rs 18.70 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.
