Washington, Jan 28 : American R&B singer/songwriter Kelly Rowland has reportedly dumped the man who made her a pop star - former Destiny''s Child band-mate Beyonce's dad.

Mathew Knowles is said to have taken Rowland in as a teenager, but she has now parted company with him after a heated row, reports Bossip. com.

As per a source, the split between the two occurred because Rowland was unhappy she''s not a bigger star in America.

"We were told Kelly was really upset that she''s not better represented in the United States. She''s a big hit in Europe, but not in America," Contactmusic quoted a spokeswoman for Bossip. com as saying.

Publicists for Knowles and his MusicWorld organisation were unavailable for comment. (ANI)
