Kawasaki to set up a plant in India

Kawasaki-Ninja250Buoyed by the success of the Ninja 250 in the Indian market, Kawasaki Heavy Industries has recently released an official statement according to which the company will be setting up a plant in the Indian market. The new plant will be used to manufacture, sell and import bikes for the Indian market.

In fact, the statement further adds the fact that the new plant will require an outflow of close to Rs. 50 million. Moreover, the company plans to establish its brand new unit in the Western part of the country in association with its partner Bajaj Auto Ltd.

Notably, the company is present in the Indian market with the Ninja that Bajaj sells from its probiking showrooms. In fact, if Kawasaki provides the technology, Bajaj is responsible for the sales & marketing activities along with the after sales part.

For the uninitiated, Kawasaki also launched a handful of products in the Indian market along with Bajaj Auto, Bajaj Kawasaki Caliber to start with that have been a success in the Indian market. Moreover, experts believe the image of Kawasaki is more of a more youth-oriented bike maker that will help the company in the long-run.
