Pervez MusharrafKarachi, Aug 20 : With former President Pervez Musharraf rendered powerless after his resignation, his King Party the PML-Q’s leaders have also gone into oblivion as some of them escaping into self-exile while others disappearing from the political scene.

Musharraf’s exit has forced the rest to duck for cover, the Daily Times reported and added that however, they are facing difficulties seeking political shelter, as their only option of joining the PML-N is a far cry since the party is reluctant to accept them for different reasons.

“Many of them have been trying to contact the party leadership for a couple of days, but the party leaders have their reservations,” the paper quoted PML-N Central Vice President Imdad Chandio as saying.

Party sources said that some PML-Q leaders made fresh contact with the PML-N Sindh president Ghaus Ali Shah after his return from Saudi Arabia on Sunday.

The party’s size in the provincial assembly has already gone down from nine to five. Two of them Mir Ghalib Domki and Sundrani, both from Jacobabad, had already defected and joined the treasury benches, while a third one, Dr Sajeela Laghari, turned her loyalties a day before the provincial assembly passed a resolution against the former president.
