Kangna Ranaut Roped In For Anand's Next
After the success of 'Tanu Weds Manu', which released last Friday, director Anand L Rai has roped in Kangna Ranaut for his second flick too.
Anand's upcoming flick will be a powerful Indian love story, but this time the background would not be Punjab.
The director claimed that it will be tricky to work without his preferred actress.
"I know her so well that I can just mould her the way I want. When we work together its magical. In my next film I will go closer to love but keeping the humor intact. It's been a beautiful tough journey making Tanu Weds Manu but this time I want to make a film closer to my vision," he added.
Rai is not confident if he will sign any other actor from 'Tanu Weds Manu', "I love all my actors but I won't be dishonest to my script."
On this, the actress said, "I am thrilled with Tanu Weds Manu. It's my best work so far. I have won awards before for other films but I have never been so thrilled about any other film. I have arrived. Normally, I take a break from directors I have worked with before but Anaandji is so special that I can never refuse him. He knows me so well and I can't imagine his film without me."
Kangana said that she feel lucky to be a part of this movie.
She also said that she is happy that Tanu Weds Manu is doing good business although the world cup is going on.
Regardless of two big World Cup matches over the weekend, Tanu Weds Manu opened fairly well at the BO grossing Rs 11 crore in just three days.
The flick, which has been made with a budget of Rs 16 crores comprising the print as well as publicity, has already recovered its cost by selling its satellite rights at Rs 9 crore.
