'Kaavalan' Gets Bigger Now

'Kaavalan' Gets Bigger NowVijay's 51st film 'Kaavalan' has been constantly facing so many troubles that has been hassling its release. First it was the issue of Asin visiting Sri Lanka followed by theatre owners and distributors demanding compensation for the loss of Vijay's previous films. It is worth mentioning that Vijay's previous 6 films except `Pokkiri' were average fares that drenched distributors and exhibitors in deep loss. However, with these issues getting close towards a proper resolution, the producers and actor Vijay had again faced some problem.

It was later mentioned that due to the 3 continuous releases from the producers belonging to family of Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, it was revealed that Kaavalan has no theatres of release. Suriya's Rattha Sarithiram produced by Cloud Nine Productions was released on Dec 3 followed by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Manmadhan Ambu on Dec 24 and Sun Pictures' Aadukalam on January 14, 2011.

Unable to deal with the situations, Vijay's father S. A. Chandrasekhar happened to meet AIADMK leader Jayalalitha to help towards the release. Now it looks like producer Aascar Ravichandran of Aascar International has acquired the NSC rights and will release the film with more prints on January 14, 2011 for the occasion of Pongal.

Now Vijay seems to have regained more confidence and is curiously looking forward for the film's release on scheduled date.
