JSW in talks to buy Bramhani Industries
India’s leading steel company JSW Steel has planned to buy the Bramhani Industries Ltd. of Karnataka. JSW Steel is India’s third-largest steelmaker. Currently, it is looking forward to buy a controlling stake in Bramhani Industries Ltd.
The Karnataka based company is floated by state tourism minister G Janardhan Reddy and his brothers. However there has not been any official announcement from both the companies.
But according to sources, JSW steel is in talks with the Reddy brothers for this buy out. Bramhani has currently been working on setting up an integrated steel plant in Kadapa. Kapda is the home town of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister late Y S Rajaeskhara Reddy. As per the Bhamhani officials the plant has some huge land reserve and it is going to be utilized soon.
The state government had allocated 10,600 acres for the Kadapa project with a capacity of 4 million tonne of producing steel.
So far as, JSW is concerned the deal is going to be a boost for the steel producer. Moreover, the company has planned to expand its capacity in its Bellary flagship. Brahmani deal will be a prospective inclusion for JSW.
