Jindal Stainless Comes Up With A New Corporate Identity
A new corporate identity, including a changed logo, was unveiled here on Wednesday by the country’s largest producer of stainless steel, Jindal Stainless Ltd (JSL).
Commenting on the occasion,,Ratan Jindal, vice-chairman and managing director, JSL, said, “Taking our domestic leadership forward, it is our natural progression into diversified business areas of Energy, Mines & Minerals, Ferro Alloys, Precision Strips, Architectural applications, Public Infrastructure and lifestyle. JSL will continue to follow its vision and commitment towards providing excellence and expertise and build on our history of innovation, leadership and customer intensive approach.”
“In the domestic market, we have diversified into the sectors of energy, mines and minerals, architectural applications, infrastructure and lifestyle,” Jindal said.
The company’s new logo (the acronym of Jindal Stainless ~ JSL) was approved by the AGM on Tuesday. Speaking on this, Jindal said that the new logo, conveys an image, in the form of a rising sun on the horizon, symbolising the new ventures.
Along with a 500 mw power plant, JSL also plans to set up a fully incorporated greenfield plant with a 1.6 million TPA capacity in Orissa. Jindal also disclosed that the company’s parent plant at Hisar, was also being expanded, to enhance its capacity from the current 7.2 lakh tons to 8.7 lakh tons by 2010.
The steel major has also joined hands with Indonesia’s Antam, for the purpose of nickel smelting. Besides this, the steel company, in association with the government would also come up with a ferro-chrome plant in Vietnam.
