As per the recent reports, users have chosen Google Android over Apple iPhone. The US market share of Google’s Android mobile Operating System has crossed the Apple iPhone’s market share.

A market research company, NPD Group has produced this report and according to that report, the Android OS- developed by Google has been able to capture the US domestic market share.

Now it has 28% of the market share in first quarter of the financial year 2010. As per the report in December quarter, it was around 20%. But due to strong demand of the handsets like Droid and Droid Eris at Verizon Wireless, it has managed to receive a good market share this quarter.

The report has also informed that BlackBerry producer RIM is the clear leader in the Smartphone market with a commanding 36% of the market share. Google Android stood in the second spot. But Apple iPhone has managed to acquire 21% of the US market share. NPD has also produced the statistics related to the sales figure of the phones and reported that Goggle has become the largest seller in the market.
