It’s Easier For Me To Tell My Own Stories, Says Rakeysh Omprakash MehraRegardless of the outcome of his projects, ace film maker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra said that he will carry on making flicks that deal with present-day matters.

Mehra also said that his flicks will also remain typically autobiographic because of their associative link.

The self-confessed reclusive director, who got into a depression after the failure of his earlier film project 'Delhi-6', stated, "It's easier for me to tell my own stories… The camera is my pen and the actors are my words."

Mehra, who struck gold with Rang De Basanti, said the film managed to strike a chord with the viewers as it had a straight story to state, unlike Delhi-6, which talked about a philosophical system.

As of now, the 47-year-old is taking single step at a time, with smaller ventures, like his most recent production 'Teen Thay Bhai', which hit theaters on April 15.

He said it is a small budget film. It is made at a budget of Rs 7.5 crore.

"Teen Thay Bhai is a coming together of loved ones, who love to hate each other," Mehra said.

The director comments that the Hindi film industry is in need of young people to become producers and pool in for a bank of finances and screenplays.
