Israel’s nuclear secrets leaker to spend another three months behind bars
Officials have said that an Israeli who leaked his country's nuclear secrets will spend another three months behind bars for contacting a foreigner without permission.
The Israeli Supreme Court Tuesday ordered Mordechai Vanunu back to jail Tuesday after he refused to perform community service for his infraction, the Jerusalem Post has reported. The Post also said that his request to do the community work in Arab eastern Jerusalem was denied.
Vanunu was arrested in December for allegedly meeting with a Norwegian national.
It was also reported that Vanunu, a former technician at the Dimona nuclear plant, served 18 years in prison for discussing Israeli nuclear secrets and providing photos of the plant's operations to The Sunday Times of London. He had been released in 2004. (With Inputs from Agencies)
