Tehran - Iran on Sunday condemned the bomb attack on a hotel in the Pakistani capital Islamabad, calling it a "terrorist act," ISNA news agency reported.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Hassan Ghashghavi said in a statement carried by ISNA that any act leading to the killing of innocent people was condemned by Tehran.

Tranquillity and security in Pakistan would benefit all regional states, the spokesman added. (dpa)
