Inzamam planning to hang up his boots?

Lahore, Oct 2 : Former Pakistan cricket captain Inzamam-ul-Haq is reportedly considering to retire from international cricket, and is discussing the issues pertaining to it with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

After a disastrous exit from the 2007 Cricket World Cup, Inzamam’s colleagues and the board have been reportedly persuading him to call it a day in a graceful manner and he has accepted their suggestions, The Nation reported.

According to the daily, the announcement is expected to come in a few days time.

“Another reason that perhaps Inzamam was neglected, as Pakistani selectors had reservations about his fitness and form. They were willing to give Misbahul Haq a chance to prove at Test level after he batted so well in the Twenty20 World Cup in South Africa,” said the newspaper.

Inzamam would get a sum of 10 million rupees before his retirement from the PCB. (With inputs from ANI)
