Indian Markets Start On A Weak NoteA benchmark index of Indian equities began trade on a feeble note today, with huge selling activity across the board.

At 9.15 a. m., the 30-share index BSE Sensex, which belled the day opened at 16,213.14, stood at 16,221.27 after losing 15.78 points from its earlier closure.

At the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the broader 50-share S&P CNX Nifty lost 10.45 points to trade at 4,845.95 as against its last close at 4,856.4 points on Monday.

Broader markets were also trading in the negative zone with the BSE midcap index trading 0.23% lower and the BSE small cap index trading 0.37% down. (With Input from Agencies)
