Indian Market Trade Lower; Hindustan Aeronautics signs MoU with GE Aerospace
Indian markets were trading lower during the Friday morning session with market breadth negative. NSE Nifty was down by almost 0.4 percent at 11 am after going as low as 18647. The recovery in Nifty has been quick in the last one hour.
As per official statement, GE Aerospace has signed a MoU with Hindustan Aeronautics to produce fighter jet engines for the Indian Air Force. Indian government has been pushing for manufacturing in India and such more such deals could be announced in near future as Prime Minister Modi is on a State Visit to the United States.
HDFC Life stock was under pressure in today’s session. This will be the third day of decline for this counter.
In today’s session, Adani Group stocks were trading lower. Adani Enterprises was down by 4.5 percent while Adani Ports, Adani Green and Adani Power were down by three percent each.
Top gainers in today's trade were Bharti Airtel, Asian Paints, HDFC Bank, IndusInd Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank and HDFC. Among major losers were BPCL, Hindalco, Tata Motors, Divis Labs, Grasim, Titan and Tata Steel.
US Futures is trading lower today and we can expect European markets to open lower today. So, the mood in the Indian markets could remain bearish for today’s session.
