Indian Hume Pipe to spend Rs 20 crore on setup of two plants in APMumbai-based Indian Hume Pipe Co. Ltd. is presently in the process of setting up three plants at two locations for manufacturing pipes in Andhra Pradesh. According to the company, the first plant will be built at Chillamuthur, in the Anantpur district and the other one in the Karnool district. The total capital outlay for these two plants is about Rs 20 crore. However, the site for the third new factory in karnool district is yet to be finalized. The Indian Hume Pipe Company Limited engages in the manufacture and marketing of various concrete pipes and allied products primarily in India. It serves water supply, irrigation, drainage, power generation, and rail transport sectors.

The company also operates in Sri Lanka, Burma, and Iraq.

The stock closed on Friday at Rs 577 on BSE, up 5% compared to its previous close.
