Indian and Israeli firms to jointly provide advanced security systemsMumbai, Dec 22 : AP Securitas Group, a Delhi-based security company has formed a joint venture with Israel''s leading providers of quality based security services, ARES group to provide advanced security systems and training in India.

Making the announcement at a joint news conference at Hotel Taj Mahal here, Anil Puri, Executive Director, APS Group, said, the purpose behind the joint venture was to provide advanced security systems from across the world to make India a safer place.

"We basically are looking at being able to provide for India, to make it a safer place, advanced security systems, advanced security training and experience from all over the world, so that we are able to provide for a better and safer India," he added.

The press conference, which was the first at Hotel Taj Mahal after it was reopened on Sunday, is also seen as clever image building and powerful communication exercises, especially in the context of the damage to the hotel and its staff during the attack.

Asaf Nadal, CEO of Israel''s ARES group said, "a lot needed to be done in terms of security and his company would share its experience in providing latest equipment and training in safeguarding India."

AP Securitas set up in 1986, has several corporate clients in India including, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Amex among others. ARES specialises in homeland security and counter terrorism and some of the key clients include hotel chains such as the Hilton, Sheraton among others.

According to reports, India has also decided to purchase four Israeli EL/M-2083 aerostat radar systems to help defend the country against terror attacks.

The radar would be installed at strategic places in the country to provide early warning against incoming enemy aircraft and missiles. (ANI)
