India has rolled out its latest advanced helicopter simulator which is an HAL and CAE joint effort. It has also said to have received the highest certification from both the Directorate General Civil Aviation (DGCA) and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

According to the reports this Bangalore-based Helicopter Academy has been launched to train the flying enthusiasts with the help of Simulation of Flying (HATSOFF)'s Bell-412 chopper full-mission simulator and was certified to Level D, deemed to be of the highest qualification for flight simulators, by both DGCA and EASA, as reported by an HAL press release.

HATSOFF Chief Executive Officer Wing Commander (retd.) Chandra Datt Upadhyay said that it is proud moment for both HAL and CAE after attaining a Level D certification, considered to be the highest performance rating offered to any flight training equipment, from both the DGCA and EASA.

He further lists out that HATSOFF training centre is considered to be one of the firsts to proffer simulation-based training that ensures safety, operational efficiency and mission readiness at the same time cutting on price.
