Equity indices: The indices have had a very chaotic time last two weeks. The level of 5750, which we have been insisting is a very critical level has proved itself to be just that in these days. The moves however, betray indecision and nervousness in the trend. We believe that the range between 5750 - 6050 is essentially "no man's land". A move above 6100 will be beneficial to the trend. But a move below 5700 can cause alarming damage. The Mid Cap index (8665) too has weakened considerably, but can bounce a bit. A move below 8500 (its 200 Day EMA) should be seen as a concerning development.
