India, Japan for increasing bilateral collaboration in infrastructure sector

New Delhi, Jan 4 (ANI): Union Finance Minister P
Chidamram and his Japanese counterpart Fukushiro Nukaga met here today,
and called for increasing bilateral collaboration in infrastructure
sector, including the Dedicated Freight Corridor Project and the Delhi
Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project.

They also discussed about boosting collaboration in the financial sector, a government release said.

Chidambaram and Nukaga noted that relations between the two countries have steadily progressed in the last few years.

"The visits of the Indian Prime Minister to Japan in
2006 and the visit of the Japanese Prime Minister to India in 2007 have
further strengthened the India-Japan Global Partnership," the release
said.

It added that the two sides expressed the hope that this partnership would further deepen. (ANI)
