HTC Windows Phone 8X: ET Review

HTC Windows Phone 8X: ET ReviewThe recently released 8X smartphone is HTC's latest flagship device for Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 platform.

The 8X features a 4.3-inch Super LCD 2 touchscreen, which is covered with ultra-tough Gorilla Glass 2. The screen delivers a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels. It is the highest pixel density being offered by any smartphone. Thus, it beats even the retina display of the iPhone 5. However, the 8X could not beat the iPhone when it comes to sharpness, black levels, viewing angles and colours.

The list of other significant features of the new HTC device includes a 1.5 GHz dual core Snapdragon processor that claims to match the performance of the quad core devices, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage.

It also has an 8-megapixel camera at its back that is capable of producing 1080p video, thanks to its F2.0 aperture and 20mm lens. It also comes equipped with 2.1-meagpixel front-facing camera that comes accompanied by ultra-wide-angle lens.

Measuring 132.35mm by 66.2mm by 10.12mm in length, breadth and thickness, and around 130 grams in weight, the 8X easy to handle and carry. Its tapered edges make it appear slimmer than it actually is. Its carefully sculpted design, uni-body construction and soft-touch surface makes it bliss to possess.

The 8X is available in a number of lively colours globally, but Indian customers will get it only in blue and black colours initially.
