Hero MotoCorp shares fall 2% ahead of fourth quarter resultsThe shares of Indian automotive giant, Hero MotoCorp  fell by around 2 per cent on Friday ahead of the announcement of the quarterly results on 26 April 2013.

The company's fourth quarter earnings are likely to be 14 per cent lower at around Rs. 520 crore compared to Rs. 604 crore recorded in the same quarter of the previous year, according to some analysts. The company had recorded a fall of 20.4 per cent to Rs 487.89 crore during the third quarter from October to December, 2012.

It is believed that the company's sales would rise 2 per cent to Rs. 6091 crore compared to Rs. 5962 in the same period of the previous year. The demand for two-wheelers remained weak in the fourth quarter and analysts expect the company to record a slower growth.

The volume is expected to about 15. 27 lakh units during the fourth quarter, lower 2.8 per cent from the same quarter of the previous financial year. The company has said that it will announce its results today after market hours.

The shares of the company were trading 1.64 per cent lower on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) this afternoon.
