Mumbai-based engineering company Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with U. K.-based engineering and project management firm AMEC PLC to jointly explore the application of consulting and EPC services for the establishment of nuclear power plants in India.

Market experts believe that latest pact will further strengthen HCC's capabilities to execute services in the field of mechanical and electrical components of nuclear power plants by sourcing the latest prevailing global technologies through AMEC

It should be noted that AMEC has a 50-year history of delivering highly complex new build programmes in the nuclear sector.
