Harley Davidson appoints its Pan-India distribution channelAfter entering the Indian market in 2009, the cruiser-maker, Harley Davidson today announced the launch of its Pan-India based dealership network in the country. While the company received over 100 applications for the dealerships, the company has finally chosen five dealers.

After the company started searching for appropriate partners in September last year, it has finally short listed partners in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Hyderabad and Bangalore.

The chosen partners will be the exclusive dealers for the retailing of the Harley Davidson motorcycles and accessories along the merchandising range that the company offers. The company will be starting the booking process at the five dealerships from the 20th April, 2010. In fact, it will be offering a portfolio of 12 bikes to the Indian consumer.

Anoop Prakash, Managing Director, Harley-Davidson India explained the fact that the company is aiming to provide the consumers with a world-class experience of the Harley-Davidson brand and it has clicked the desired start at the outset. Prakash also highlighted the fact that each partner brings a distinctive set of talents on board for Harley Davidson.
