Ace Bollywood playback singer Sonu Nigam is celebrating his 37th birth anniversary today.

Nigam attained popularity not only for his superb voice but also for his good appearance.

Born in Faridabad at Haryana in 1973, Sonu came to Mumbai at 18.

Born to Agam Kumar Nigam and Shobha, Sonu become popular by hosting TV show of the 90's "Sa Re Ga Ma".

But, Sonu shot to fame in playback singing with songs 'Sande se aate hain in the film 'Border' and 'Ye dil' in the blockbuster film 'Pardes'.

Since then, he has crooned for a lot of Hindi films.

He also sang for regional movies, comprising Bengali, Oriya, Kannada, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, English, Bhojpuri, Urdu, Nepali and Marathi.

Sonu also anchored TV show like' Kisme Kitna hai Dum'.

Sonu was one of the judge in the popularity TV reality show 'Indian Idol' and Amul Star Voice of India.

He also became a radio jockey and anchored the popular radio show named 'Life Ki Dhun With Sonu Niigaam' for RadioCity 91FM.

Sonu also tried his acting stint in films such as 'Betaab', 'Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani', ' Kash Aap Hamare Hote'and in ' Love in Nepal'.
