Haagen-Dazs enters Indian market
New Delhi, Dec 11 : Haagen-Dazs, the American ice cream major, Friday opened its first branded shop in India here.
"Our first-ever flagship shop in India will provide consumers with the opportunity to enjoy Haagen-Dazs in a cosmopolitan yet relaxed setting," said Anindo Mukherji, managing director of General Mills India, which markets the brand in the country.
The cafe has been opened at the Select CityWalk Mall at Saket in the capital.
Haagen-Dazs, which created the super-premium ice cream category in 1961, is today available in retail locations, premier hotels and more than 900 branded shops in over 50 countries.
Haagen-Dazs operates 80 stores across 20 cities in China. (IANS)
