Google announces Play Book Store availability in India
In a recent post on the Google India blog page, Google revealed that its Play Book Store has now been made available in India; giving the users the ability to download thousands of Indian book titles from the company's Google Play app store.
On the blog page, Google India said that the Play Book app - which allows users purchase and read e-books on their smart devices and computers - can now be downloaded by the Indian users from the Google Play Store
Google also said on the blog page that the availability of the Play Book app in India will essentially facilitate Indian users in finding "great Indian authors such as Amish Tripathi, Devdutt Pattanaik and APJ Abdul Kalam, plus international bestsellers from the world's largest ebookstore."
Given the fact that the Google Play Store, like the iBooks, offers a wide range of titles, including new releases as well as free classics such as Great Expectations, Alice in Wonderland, and countless others, the availability of the Play Storte in India will allow users to store the books in the cloud and also read them on their web browser.
According to reports, some of the titles which will available in India include Fifty Shades of Grey, Dan Brown books, Amish Tripathi's The Oath of the Vayuputras, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series, and even The Hobbit and LOTR.
