Google and its acquisition of AdMob – lingering questions
Google has publicised its acquisition of Admob which has been approved by the Federal Trade Commission, but some claim this decision to be lame, and reconsidered at once.
The acquitsion of the leading mobile advertising firm, AdMob strengthens the foothold of Google even firmer in the advertising arena, and pledges to offer more innovative measures of advertising on cell phones and media tablets.
This leaves Apple in doldrums which also has its own mobile ad platform called iAd and also the Consumer Watchdog group has released a statement calling the FTC approval an "incomprehensible" pronouncement.
It is supposedly believed that the happenings between Google and government officials meetings have created an atmosphere which led to the release of this statement; also there is no solid truth that underlines the backing of this deal.
The Consumer Watchdog has went ahead to launch a website, InsideGoogle. com that lists out all the activities of Google.
