Goggles convert soldiers into terminators
From the makers of the Tanagram Partners comes the military-grade AR technology with lightweight sensors for interpreting information on hostiles during combat in the form almost real like utilities.
This Chicago based company CEO; Joseph Juhnke displayed the working of the device at the Augmented Reality Event in California last week when a helmet when fixed with lightweight OLED translucent goggles gathered various sensors-which ranged from UV and infrared sensors, stereoscopic cameras and a 360-degree camera.
According to this hi-fi technology, the helmets can immediately connect to the army's server, thus enabling a connection with all information on hostile scenarios and download them all.
In addition to this each warrior can communicate with his peer to show the danger zones by highlighting them in red.
The Tanagram Partners that are funded with DARPA aims to deliver the technology by the coming year inclusive of an iPhone version available early 2011.
