GM India's Successful Bounce Back!

General-MotorsSometime back, General Motors had managed to get itself placed on the
list of companies which had been most hurt by the global financial
meltdown. But now, with the times getting better everywhere, the company
seems to have bounced back with full force, with GM India posting a
record growth of 126% in sales for the month of February 2010.

Last month, the company sold a whopping 11,111 units, as compared to the
4,921 vehicles sold during February 2009.

Things seem to be going well for the automaker otherwise as well, on a
global level that is, with the company looking at definite expansions
and maybe some acquisitions as well.

The auto industry had been one of the hardest hit during the recession,
with consumer confidence hitting an all time low and the increased
caution with which people spent money. Despite the many schemes that
Governments all over the world had offered customers, buying new
vehicles was something that people thought could wait.

But now, with things better overall, sales of new automobiles has
started to lift, as has been made apparent by the recent success of GM
India.

Now the company is all set to step up production, offer new products,
set up new plants and offer more jobs, all thanks to the recent success.
Good going GM!
