According to industry journal Screen Daily, Hollywood actor Daniel Craig's latest outing as James Bond took a further £14.2m in France and Sweden.

Ex-Microsoft executive hired by Yahoo to run media operationsFormer executive of Microsoft Corp., Jeff Dossett, has been hired by Yahoo Inc. to run the Internet giant's media operations. Dossett, an accomplished mountain climber, was most recently the general manager of Microsoft's MSN. com.

Dossett joins in place of another former Microsoft alumnus, Scott Moore, whose resignation is the latest in a series of high-level departures at the company this year. He will report to report to Hilary Schneider, executive vice president of Yahoo US.

Yahoo, Google scale back scope of their ad deal

Google & YahooIn a last-ditch effort to win US antitrust approval, Yahoo Inc and Google Inc have drastically scaled back the scope of their search advertising deal, calls for Google to place ads next to some Web search results on Yahoo, lifting Yahoo's revenue.

The companies had said in June that the search ad deal was expected to boost Yahoo's cash flow by up to $450 million in the first year.
