Termination of Registrar EstDomains Will Go AheadWith effect from 24 November 2008, the termination of ICANN-accredited registrar EstDomains will go ahead.

ICANN sent a notice of termination on 28 October 2008, to EstDomains, Inc. (EstDomains) based on an Estonian Court record reflecting the conviction of EstDomains' then president, Vladimir Tsastsin, of credit card fraud, money laundering and document forgery.

PCB eyeing lucrative earnings from television rightsThe Pakistan Cricket Board is optimistic to earn huge money from the sale of television rights despite tough global financial conditions. The board has decided to sell TV rights next week. However, the board has not decided about the reserve prices for interested parties.

The board aims to get around $120 million from the sale for the next four and half years as per the reports of sources close to the development.

Thrilling win for Hyderabad Heroes

Thrilling win for Hyderabad Heroes Hyderabad Heroes secured victory over Lahore Badshahs and paved way for third final of the Indian Cricket League Twenty20 cricket championship. The final would take place on Sunday. Hyderabad Heroes won the match with eight-runs at the Sardar Patel Stadium on Saturday night.

Shahid Yousuf scored 51 runs while Farhat could not perform well as compared to previous match. Inzamam-ul-Haq could score only 10 runs. Jimmy Maher played very well from Heroes’ side and contributed with 56 runs which lead to victory of team.

AT&T launches Samsung Eternity

AT&T launches Samsung EternityAT&T today launched full-touchscreen phone Samsung Eternity. It is some what similar to its earlier products that comes with a 3.2-inch touch screen with haptic feedback. Provided with an accelerometer for automatic rotation of display, it gives iPhone-like motion-sensitive games feel. AT&T's subscription broadcast service can also be availed through it’s built in digital TV.

Nokia launches E63

Nokia launches E63Leading mobile manufacturer Nokia expanded its E-series by launching E63 smartphone in the market. It would give stiff competition to rival BlackBerry in terms of cost, features and technology. Nokia E63 is equipped with an improved keyboard and comes in two colours. 

For high picture quality the new Nokia E63 comes with 2 mega pixel camera and flash light as compared to E71 which supports 3.2 mega pixels camera.

However, it does not support GPS facility and HSDPA.

Dell launches Mini 12

Dell launches Mini 12Leading computer manufacturer, Dell has launched its quasi-Netbook, the Mini 12 in the US market. Earlier, Dell Mini 12 has been launched in Japan. Mini 12 is available at a starting price of $549.00 in United States.

It supports 1.6GHz Atom chip, 6-cell battery and 60GB hard drive with ultra modern finish and look. One can upgrade its hard disk from to 60GB or 80GB and speed up CPU operations using 1.6GHz version of the Atom.
