Tata Motors is in for yet another debacle. The Gujarat High Court has directed the state government to produce documents of acquisition of land in Sanand, alloted to Tatas for the Nano car project. The farmers in Sanand, the site of the Nano project in Gujarat, have filed a case against the Gujarat government and Tata motors, seeking greater compensation for their land.
In a bid to explore nuclear fuel generation possiblities in the country, engineering and construction firm Punj Lloyd has entered into an agreement with US-based Thorium Power.
With this, the two companies would be able to set up joint venture projects in the area of nuclear fuel in India and neighbouring regions.
The search engine Google has released a new Gmail gadget for its Desktop product.
According to Google, the new gadget will allow users to read, search and send Gmail messages while in Google Desktop.
It will also help users to star messages and use keyboard shortcuts. Apart from this, the plug will also utilises keyboard shortcuts and contact auto-complete.
Aamir Khan has expressed “deep condolences” over the sudden death of H. Sridhar, a four-time national award-winning sound engineer of the Indian film industry.
Sridhar died of a cardiac arrest on November 30. Khan flew all the way to Chennai to attend the funeral of Sridhar.
