"I am a politician only by accident. Teaching has been my first love. My days as a teacher have been the most enjoyable part of my life," Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said on Wednesday.

Inaugurating the International Centre for Materials Science (ICMS) and C N R Rao Hall of Science at the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) in Bangalore, the PM said, "Hence, whenever I get opportunities to visit universities and institutes of learning, I do so with great joy. They fill me with a sense of pride and happiness and I feel proud at the achievements."

Final Stage is set for the assembly polls in Rajasthan on Thursday. Over 3.62 crore voters, including 1.72 crore women, are likely to exercise their franchise to elect 200 members to the House from among 2194 contestants.

Congress has put up candidates in all 200 constituencies and BJP in 199. As many as 1019 Independents are also in the fray.

The Election Commission had announced for single day polling for Rajasthan.

About 200 films will be screened in the 13th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) to be held at Thiruvananthapuram from December 12 to December 19.

She will take charge of the new assignment on Thursday.

A 1971 batch Indian Information Service officer, Sandhu will fill the slot vacated by Sanjaya Baru. Baru left the PMO four months ago to join the academic world in Singapore.
