Hyderabad, Oct 26 : An environmental activist in Hyderabad has come out with a novel idea to support a ban on smoking in public places. He has prepared a motorbike shaped like a cigar by scrap.

M. K. Sudhakar is already registered in the Guinness Book of World Records for making the largest tricycle in the world.

To make people break the habit of smoking, he literally hacked the cigar-shaped motorbike into pieces in full public view.

Jakarta - An undersea earthquake registering 6.4 on the Richter scale struck off Indonesia's north Sulawesi province Sunday afternoon, but there were no immediate reports of injury or damage, the governmental seismology agency said.

The quake struck at 4:08 pm Jakarta time (0908 GMT) with an epicentre about 91 kilometres south-west of Gorontalo on Sulawesi, Indonesia's National Meteorology and Geophysics Agency said. It occurred at about 32 kilometres below sea level.

New Delhi - Indian investigative agencies have found the money trail in a multimillion-dollar kidney transplant racket leading to Hong Kong and Australia, and will ask authorities in those to help in the probe, news reports said Sunday.

The alleged kingpin of the racket, Amit Kumar, and his associates are accused of performing more than 500 kidney transplant surgeries over a decade by procuring organs for paltry sums of money from poor people and transplanting them on wealthy recipients.

New Delhi  - Five separatist rebels were killed in a gun battle with security forces in India's north-eastern Assam state, news reports said Sunday.

The clash took place late Saturday in a forest area of Nalbari district, about 90 kilometres west of Assam's main city Guwahati, IANS news agency reported quoting police officials.

"A joint team of police, paramilitary and Indian Army soldiers raided the forest reserve following specific intelligence inputs about the presence of a group of militants," army spokesman R Kalia said.

Lydia Muso, director of Lesotho Child Counselling Unit (LCCU), has allegedly said that she had to ‘beg and borrow’ despite being assured of financial assistance by the royal’s charity to keep the orphanage running.

She claimed that the safe house, that looks after 17 sexually and physically abused children, had at first received the promised financial aid from the charity launched by the prince in 2006.
