Paris Hilton parts ways with long-time manager

Washington, October 30 : Paris Hilton will no have her long-time manager Jason Moore to look after her affairs, for the two have parted their ways.

Moore, who had been managing the heiress’ professional life for 10 years, was said to have split following a threat from his wife for spending too much time with Paris.

“His new wife threatened to divorce him because he was always gone with Paris,” Contactmusic quoted a source as telling Us magazine.

However, Moore, who lost out his biggest client, denied the claims.

He insists: "There were a lot of reasons - both personal and professional - for the split, but nothing had anything to do with my marriage."

According to sources, the ‘Hitch’ actress lets her head hang down prior to her scheduled events to gleam of a younger looking skin, reports China Daily.

A source told the National Enquirer magazine: "Whether it is a photo session or a hot date, Eva swears by hanging her head down on a slant board for about 20 minutes.

“Allowing blood flow to your upper body and face will bring on a vibrant, flushed-with-youth look,” the source added.

Adequate measures taken to ensure law and order in Maharashtra claims Deshmukh

DeshmukhNanded (Maharashtra), Oct 30 : Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today said that adequate measures have been taken to ensure law and order in Maharashtra which has witnessed attacks against North Indians.

Talking to reporters here Deshmukh said, "The situation in the state is under total control and adequate measures have been taken to ensure law and order."

Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil had on Tuesday spoken to Deshmukh and expressed hope that the State Government would act to check the violence.

70 para-military companies reach J-K for poll duty

March to nowhere in Jammu and KashmirSrinagar, Oct 30 : The Centre has dispatched 70 companies of para-military forces for maintaining peace and security during the seven-phase elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

Security officials said that the centre has so far sent 70 out of 425 sanctioned companies for holding peaceful polls during first phase of polling on November 17.

The State Government had demanded for 625 companies of security forces for poll duty but due to elections in other five states only 452 were sanctioned.

Lahore, Oct 30 : After being crowned as the “best Twenty20 bowler”, Pakistan pacer Sohail Tanvir has reportedly vowed to prove his mettle in ODI and Test cricket too.

The left-arm pacer is expected to play a crucial role when Pakistan face the West Indies at Abu Dhabi in a three-match ODI series to be held from November 12 to 16 and then against India early next year, which includes three Tests, five ODIs and a Twenty20 match.

“It will be a huge series. It will be a great platform for me to show the world that I can excel in ODIs and Tests as well,” the Daily Times quoted Tanvir as saying.
