Robinho buys £170,000 Lamborghini

London, December 19 : Ace footballer Robinho will no longer need the bus pass his cheeky team-mates have given him, for he has purchased a 200mph Lamborghini.

Man City stars joined forces to get the 590-pound annual pass after they read that Robinho went shopping on public transport.

However, the 24-year-old bought a brand-new Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4.

According to reports, the white colour motor cost him 170,000 pounds.

Robinho spent six pounds on taking his girlfriend shopping by bus last month.

Irish writer, politician Conor Cruise O' Brien dies at 91

Conor Cruise O'BrienDublin - Irish writer, academic and politician Conor Cruise O'Brien has died at the age of 91, national broadcaster RTE reported Friday.

Born in 1917 in Dublin in an Ireland that was still part of the British Empire to a journalist father and teacher mother, O'Brien's early career was as a civil servant in the foreign ministry.

He became a special representative for the United Nations to the Democratic Republic of Congo in the early 1960s and wrote To Katanga and Back in 1962 about Katanga province's secession from the newly independent DR Congo.

Robbie Williams wants to shake a leg in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’

London, December 19 : Robbie Williams has revealed that he would love to shake a leg on the next series of Britain's TV show `Strictly Come Dancing.'

The 15-time BRIT Award-winning singer, who began his career as a member of the pop band `Take That' in 1990, which he left in 1995 to begin his solo career, said he would be ready with his moves to woo the audience by the end of 2009.

"You can expect me on Celebrity Come Dancing towards the end of summer next year," the Mirror quoted him as saying.

The 34-year-old songwriter admitted on his website that he was at the end of his tether to leave LA and get back to his native England despite its characteristic weather.

During her visit to the American talk show hosted by Letterman, Jennifer went up to him and tied the tie around his neck with a striptease inspired track playing in the background.

"It''s an early Christmas gift," The Daily Express quoted Jennifer, as telling David Letterman on the talk show.

Dakar Rally may damage important archeological sites in Argentina and Chile

CanadaOttawa, Dec 19 : A top archeologist has said that the upcoming Dakar Rally, which has been relocated to Argentina and Chile because of security fears, could damage important archeological sites.

According to a report by the Canadian Press, the rally, which this year will feature more than 500 vehicles, was transferred from Africa because of terrorism concerns and will be held in South America from January 3-18.

Five hundred and thirty teams will participate in the rally, with 82 trucks, 188 cars, 30 4x4s and 230 motorcycles racing over 9,000 kilometers and cross over the Andes mountain range separating Argentina and Chile.
