Mira SorvinoNew York, Jan 21 : American actress Mira Sorvino has revealed how she passed on whatever was jinxing her to her co-star Scott Foley while filming a scene for upcoming NBC miniseries `The Last Templar'.

The two were filming the part aboard a speedboat when a wave knocked Sorvino''s head into a hook.

"I break five teeth. Blood everywhere," the New York Post quoted her as saying.

"And for some reason, right then our wonderful director, Paolo Barzman, decides that we should have a kiss to end all kisses, and so, after they paint even more bloody purple makeup on me, we have the big kiss.

Tom Cruise considers Brit actors very ‘talented''

ValkyrieLondon, Jan 21 : Tom Cruise, who stars with many English actors in his new film `Valkyrie', reckons that Brit actors are very `talented''.

In the film, the `Top gun' star plays a real-life one-eyed German officer who attempts to assassinate Hitler during World War Two.

And Cruise is accompanied by a truckload of British talent in the supporting cast, including Kenneth Brannagh, Bill Nighy, Tom Wilkinson, Terrence Stamp and even Eddie Izzard.

"Look at the cast we have, you know we''re fortunate enough to have your countrymen," Sky News quoted Cruise as saying.

Jennifer Hudson''s ex brother-in-law pleads ‘not guilty’ in family murder case

New York, January 21 : Jennifer Hudson''s former brother-in-law, the main suspect behind the murders of the actress' family members, has pleaded "not guilty" to the charges.

William Balfour had been arrested on charges of first-degree killings of the Oscar-winner's mother, brother and his 7-year-old stepson on December 1.

A murder indictment had been issued against the 27-year-old, with his lawyer later making a request that his client be shifted from a state prison to Cook County for easier communication.

The judge had said that he would rule on the matter during a January 20 court date, but the request has been reset for another hearing next week, reports the New York Daily News.

Mukherjee asks international community to fight with terrorism

Addressing the first Delhi Dialogue on Regional Security and Cooperation here, Mukherjee said the growing political and economic linkages with ASEAN nations will send a message that the designs of terrorists will be defeated not just by India but by the International community as a whole.

Modernisation necessary as India is surrounded by inimical elements: Antony

A K AntonyPanaji, Jan 21 : Defence Minister AK Antony today said the Union Government has decided to modernize the armed forces and Coast Guards rapidly as the country is surrounded by too many elements inimical to India.

Addressing a gathering here during the commissioning of the Indian Coast Guards fast patrol vessel "Samrat", Antony said: "We know very well that what we have is not enough. This is less than 30 per cent of the capability we require."

"Our armed forces must be in the state of preparedness always," he added.
