The New York Film Industry is keen on developing relations with the Bollywood. With New York City Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting commissioner Katherine Oliver approaching the film producers at the B-town, the deal seems to be lucrative option for many.

Oliver who is currently in Mumbai said, “I am slated to meet Indian film industry professionals and talk to them about the benefits of shooting their movies in New York City.” The commissioner also added that her aim is to understand the needs of the Indian audiences and henceforth to provide them with the basic facilities they would require.

Subhash Chandra promoted Zee network launched its Tamil entertainment channel, ‘Zee Tamizh’ on October 12, 2008.

This is the Zee's thirty-third channel in the country, and third in the South India, after Zee Telugu and Zee Kannada.

Speaking on this, G Ramprasad (CEO, Zee Entertainment – South) said, "We have invested close to Rs 100 crore in the Tamil venture, most of which has gone into content procurement and acquisition of movies. Tamil Nadu is one of the biggest media markets as it accounts for 8 per cent of the national advertising space." 

The Bombay High Court on Wednesday cleared the controversial reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ of obscenity charges. 

Along with the producers, the court also asked the police not to take any action against the show participants including Rahul Mahajan, Sambhavana Seth and Payal Rohatgi. 

The single bench of Justice V K Tahilramni has adjourned the hearing till October 24.

The ‘King Khan’ was recently honoured by a prestigious award in Malaysia giving him the title of 'Datuk' (the equivalent of a knighthood in Britain). Mani Ratnam’s new venture was reportedly halted when the crew violated the norms specified by the Kerala Forest Department. The famous director who is currently shooting for the adaptation of epic ‘Ramayana’ in the jungles of Malayathur was stopped by the Forest Officials as the crew had constructed three temporary huts against the rules.
