HC Asks Police Not To Take Any Action Against ‘Bigg Boss’
The Bombay High Court on Wednesday cleared the controversial reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ of obscenity charges.
Along with the producers, the court also asked the police not to take any action against the show participants including Rahul Mahajan, Sambhavana Seth and Payal Rohatgi.
The single bench of Justice V K Tahilramni has adjourned the hearing till October 24.
Earlier, a First Information Report (FIR) was filed by Mumbai Regional Youth Congress president Sunil Ahire against the producer and director of the show for allegedly telecasting obscenity and vulgarity.
However, the petition on the other hand exacts that the show is not obscene, but competitors of the channel Colors (which airs it) are creating hype about obscenity.
