Supreme Court Directs NDTV In BMW Sting Operation

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court directed the news channel, NDTV to produce the original footage of the sting operation they conducted in BMW case on the reputed lawyers R K Anand and I U Khan. The court asked to bring forth the material used in the operation such as computerized chips and other relevant evidences.

The bench which gave the verdict was comprised of three judges, Justices B N Aggrawal, G S Singhvi and Aftab Alam. The case was bought to the apex court's notice when the senior counsel Altaf Ahmed defending Anand said that the alleged tapes were tampered with and was a controversy to defame him and Khan.

The New York Film Industry is keen on developing relations with the Bollywood. With New York City Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting commissioner Katherine Oliver approaching the film producers at the B-town, the deal seems to be lucrative option for many.

Oliver who is currently in Mumbai said, “I am slated to meet Indian film industry professionals and talk to them about the benefits of shooting their movies in New York City.” The commissioner also added that her aim is to understand the needs of the Indian audiences and henceforth to provide them with the basic facilities they would require.
