What goes around does indeed come around, particularly in the film Thabbali. While there is an attempt to portray the Karmic theory at work, the script lacks the depth required to captivate one’s interest right up to the end.
Thabbali tells the tale of an orphan, Akash, a petty but ruthless criminal. His bizarre turnaround is brought about through divine intervention in the form of a child. The film relies heavily on the sentiment quotient, induced by the little child. The emotions of this child are ably captured, appropriate to the context, which is worthy of credit.
