On Thursday; the News Broadcasting Standards (Disputes Redressal) Authority, was formally launched by private news broadcasters’ association-News Broadcasters Association (NBA), which marked their first step towards self-regulation.

This authority will function as an independent regulator and if in case the content being aired by its member broadcasters is not according to its code of conduct and broadcasting standards, then it will deal with the complaints against the broadcasters. The authority is being chaired by former Chief Justice of India, JS Verma. 

The Authority will consist of former Nasscom president Kiran Karnik, economist Nitin Desai, sociologist Deepankar Gupta and historian Ramachandra Guha as its ‘eminent’ members.

Mallika Sherawat, known for her unique style and outfits will now be seen in a totally different avatar. The film, which is now the most talked about is 'Hissss' starring Mallika Sherawat, Jeff Douchett and Irrfan Khan .

It is a Hollywood-Bollywood collaboration, the directed is the well-known Jennifer Lynch and is produced by Govind Menon and Vikram Singh. There have been many films on naagin's like Nagina, Jaani Dushman and Naagin, but this one holds a lot of promise as Robert Kurtzman,one of the greatest special effects artists of the west, is working on getting the perfect look for Mallika.

The well known popstar, Geri Halliwell, who has secured a great position as a singing sensation has now taken up another exciting job of the movie expert, which she says was not tough for her to learn. 

Recently, she wrote her first screenplay for a film and she exclaimed, “I've just written my first screenplay. It is pretty incredible to finish it - the first draft.”

She further said, “I got somebody to teach me - there's a programme called Final Draft. I had someone come round my house and teach me how to use it”

The James Bond films, which have a major fan following in India, is for the first time releasing its latest "Quantum Of Solace " in India on Nov 7,before its schedule release in North America on Nov 14.

The film will be released on 700 prints and dubbed in regional languages like Hindi, Tamil and Telegu. 

According to Managing Director of Sony Pictures Releasing India, Kercy Daruwala "James Bond has a huge equity in this country, and Bond films have already been a hit here.......this could be the biggest Hollywood Release of the year here ".
