Four terrorists killed in J-K
Srinagar, June 2 : Security forces today achieved major success in Jammu and Kashmir by eliminating four hardcore Lashakar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorists in two different operations in Baramulla and Kupwara.
The first operation was launched by troops of the 32 Rashtriya Rifles, Srinagar and STF Baramulla at Watergam in Baramulla district.
Terrorists opened indiscriminate fire at about 8 a. m. on troops who were trying to close in near the target house. During the ensuing fire fight, two terrorists were killed.
Two AK-47, four magazines, and one hand grenade were recovered from the possession of the slain terrorists. The slain terrorists have been identified as Abu Khalid alias Haji and Abu Marjaheed alias Abdullah, both of foreign origin, and belonging to the LeT.
In the second operation launched by troops of the 30 Rashtriya Rifles and the STF Handwara, two more terrorists were killed. One AK-47 and one RPG launcher were recovered from the possession of the slain terrorists at Maratgam. Both operations were still in progress when reports last came in. (ANI)
