Four Indian boxers including Vijender Singh, Suranjoy Singh, Dinesh Kumar and Parmjeet Samota have made into the final of the Commonwealth Boxing Championship (CBC) at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium in New Delhi on Monday.

The popular Indian boxer Vijender punched out Tanzanian Selemani Kidunda 10-1 in the 75 kg category in the semifinal bout. Suranjoy defeated Welshman Andrew Selby 4-0 in the other semifinal of the 52 kg category.

Dinesh also advanced into the title round after defeating Tanzanian Leonard Machichi 8-1 in the semifinal of 81 kg. Paramjeet Samota was the fourth Indian pugilist to make into the final after defeating Ross Henderson of Scotland
5-2 in the +91 kg category.

India coach Gurbax Singh Sandhu said that he is excited with the performance of the Indian boxers especially Parmjeeet as Indian boxers had not succeeded in the heavy weight categories in the past.
