Flintoff decides to retire from test cricket

Andrew FlintoffThe English all-rounder Andrew Flintoff has decided to quit the test cricket after the end of the ongoing Ashes test series against Australia on Wednesday.

However, Flintoff will continue to play in the One-Day Internationals and International Twenty20 matches as said by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

Flintoff, who has been injury prone in his carrier, made his debut in 1998 for England and he had played 75 Tests for his country.

ECB stated that Flintoff has been suffering from injuries since 2005 and now after the knee problem he thought that this has been the time to stop.

Flintoff, who has played a major role in the last Ashes series win, has been suffering from a knee problem which he received during first test match against Australia and he has to recover from that injury to play in the second test match which will start from Thursday at the Lords.
