Final good-bye to Redgrave

Corin-RedgraveLast chorus of "bravo" rang out for Redgrave at his funeral yesterday. At the funeral he was given a standing ovation by the mourners including his sisters Vanessa and Lynn Redgrave. The 70-year old great actor left the world last week.

Hundred of mourners including his sisters, Widow Kika Markham, niece Joely Richardson and his children were present at the emotional service at St Paul's Church.

Fittingly, the cinema and the stage star was given a final performance - with the records of his rendition of Good-bye-ee from the film Oh! What a lovely war released in year 1969 - ending the service.

His sister, who is suffering form breast cancer, spread laughter when she said that the actor taught her how to climb the tree, but never taught how to get down.

The Lord of Ring Star Sir Ian Mckellen and actor Simon Callow were also present on the occasion.

Redgrave's two sons with Ms Markham, Harvey and Arden gave reading along with his daughter from his first marriage, Jemma Redgrave.
