England expects ‘world-class’ Team India backlash: Broad

England expects ‘world-class’ Team India backlash: BroadLondon, Aug 31: England Twenty20 captain Stuart Broad insists that it would be a mistake to underestimate the injury-hit Indian team.

India will face England in Manchester for a one-off Twenty20 international today with Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma and Harbhajan Singh out with injuries.

"Obviously India has suffered a few injuries, but that happens on any tour. But, you know Indian players and the young guys they have got a lot of talent around and I mean any side that can bring Rahul Dravid in the team will be strong," Broad said.

He also emphasized the need for England to be in excellent form to face the world champions of one-day cricket.

"We expect India to come very hard at us as you can expect from a world-class ODI side. That is something to be aware of, but not something to worry about, we need to focus on what we do," Broad said.

"The Indian team has obviously been a Twenty20 champion, but we will still stick to our strengths. It is important that we be in good form," he added. (ANI)
